Punta Riviera Resort is uniquely located at the estuary of the Ilog Malino river. Dubbed as the “Pride of Bolinao,” the Punta Riviera Resort is an ideal venue for destination holidays. Located in the western area of the Pangasinan province, the resort boasts a unique seafront, a river, and an island environment where one can experience the locals engaged in their simple, yet centuries-old way of life. The resort has an infinity pool overlooking the river and a bridge that provides the guests easy access to the charming white sand beach of the island.

Punta Riviera Resort provides 40 rooms of variable sizes, some for to 20 guests, beach and river recreational facilities, a modern Spa with sauna and two family-sized jacuzzi’s, conference facilities with lighting and sound systems for up to 500 delegates, and modern facilities including Wi-Fi, cable TV, pool, karaoke, etc. Some rooms have self-catering.

The resort also offers 4 days guided tours with a number of activities for the adventurous soul. Resort guides are available at Balingasay, where visitors can snorkel at the marine sanctuary and see the giant clams farmed off Santiago Island. Upstream is where kayakers may explore IlogMalinos and its cascading curtains of century-old mangrove trees and canderoma. Other activities include swimming in local inland caves, surfboarding, and experiencing the beauty of the Bolinao Falls.

The resort also runs the Bolinao Lighthouse School of Tourism and Learning Centre (BLSTLC) and wins TESDA’s Region 1 Kabalikat Award in 2010.

Riverside Spa facilities – Terms and conditions:

  • Guests must wear suitable swimming suit attire and behave properly in the Spa.
  • Guests must keep Spa facilities clear of drinks or other foreign materials/liquids.
  • No persons with plasters, open wounds or bandages to use the Spa facilities.
  • Do not use the Spa Facilities if you have any disabilities or ailments that could impair your health whilst using the Spa facilities.
  • Children under the age of 10 years are not allowed to enter the Jacuzzis; and children under 14 years are not allowed to use the Sauna. Adult supervision is required for all children under 18 years using the Spa.
  • Have a safe, healthy and relaxing Spa.

Punta Riviera Resort – Amenities and Activities

  • Kayaking:
    Guests kayak 2-4kms upriver on our eight kayaks. Kayaking is complimentary at 30mins/room and can be hired for long trips upriver. The seafront is prohibited for kayaking.
  • Guided Tours:
    The resort offers 5 days of guided tours – see guided tours.
  • Riverside Spa:
    Located beside Don Quixote Bar – see Riverside Spa.
  • Permaculture:
    The resort has a free-range farm with wild boars, dragon fruit orchard, aquaponics system, and makes organic fertilizers. The farm can be visited by walking upriver (landward side) past the Don Quixote Bar.
  • Lecture on Permaculture:
    If available Dr. McFeat-Smith can make a 40 mins presentation on these activities and the resort as A Permaculture Model for the Future of Tourism in the Philippines.
  • Pool Tables, Darts, and Table Tennis:
    Available at the Don Quixote Bar.
  • Karaoke:
    Coin-operated karaokes are available at the Don Quixote Bar.
  • Board Games:
    Including Chess, Scrabble, Monopoly, Majong and Chinese Chess available upon request.
  • Swimming Pools:
    Infinity and spa waterfall pools available.
  • Live Band:
    Saturday Night Fever Live Band plays most nights during peak season (March-May) and at the Safari Grill and in the Rotisserie on Friday and/or Saturday nights for good music and dancing. Guest participation is welcomed.

Tour Packages: Terms and Conditions

1. The above packages are available only for Guests of Punta Riviera Resort.
2. Guests are assumed to provide their own land transportation.
3. A minimum of one day’s notice is required for land tours and 1 – 2 days for boat tours.
4. Booking is only confirmed once a non-returnable deposit of 50% of the package fee is paid. The tour may reschedule only if the resort cancels due to inclement weather conditions.
5. Tour details and rates may be changed or canceled without prior notice so check with our reception for up to date information.
6. Guests undertake the above tours at their own risk; must be physically fit; can swim 100m without buoyancy aid, children must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for their safety. Buoyancy aids are recommended for children and older swimmers. All guests must sign an indemnity waiver for themselves, families, and children.
7. Foods are not yet included but can be arranged before the tour. Please inquire at the reception.
8. Punta Riviera Resort provides guides to the locations cited and makes payments as necessary however guests are entirely responsible for their own safety whilst on tour.
