Redeemer’s Cross in Bani Pangasinan

Redeemer’s Cross, Pilgrimage Site in Surip Bani Pangasinan is worth to visit when you are going to Surip Beach. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Bani Pangasinan especially during the Lenten Season. About 30 minute away from the town proper of Bani, 20 minutes away from Busay Falls and just 6 minutes away from Surip Beach.

Redeemer’s Cross Pilgrimage Site is a version of Calvary Hill of Bani Pangasinan. It has 15-foot high Redeemer’s Cross. The cross is perched on a plateau overlooking the West Philippine Sea. There are 1,000 steps to finish along the many Stations of the Cross before reaching the Redeemer’s Cross.

This was a project of the late Doña Segundina Enriquez Navarro, beloved spouse of the late Mayor Marcelo C. Navarro. The annual Archdiocesan Penitential Pilgrimage every Holy Tuesday was first held in 1975 and continues to the present day, visited by thousands of pilgrims from Pangasinan and other provinces.
