Malangsi Fishtival 2014

Bayambang, which is known for its fish products such as mudfish (dalag), catfish (pantat), and gurami, which are sourced out from the town’s Mangabul Lake will celebrates the “Malangsi Festival” on 1st week of April.

This year, the town of Bayambang seeks to establish new world record in barbecue grill when it will hold its fifth Malangsi Fishtival as a final activity of the 400th anniversary of their town on April 4 2014.The town plans to have a more than seven-kilometer long grill to break the current six-kilometer record set by Turkey.

Other events lined up for the celebration include the Search for the Most Distinguished Bayambangueno,100 Ways to Cook Malangsi, street dancing, and Grand Float Competition & Civic Parade.
