Municipality of San Carlos City Pangasinan is busy preparing for its Mango – Bamboo Festival 2012. They preferred to celebrate Mango – Bamboo Festival as their yearly town fiesta celebration to promote the two products (Mango and Bamboo) that are abundant in their town which has a greater chance to compete in the world market.
The main goal of the celebration is to strengthen the opportunity, improve the marketing and increase the earning capabilities of mango growers and those engaged in the bamboo craft industry.
This year, The Mango-Bamboo Festival celebration starts with a Thanksgiving Mass at St. Dominic Parish Church. It is a 1 week celebration from April 23 – 28, with lots of enjoyable activities prepared to entertain townspeople and visitors.
In this Mango-bamboo Festival 2012, we will also expect for the farmers and the homemakers day in which kubo-making contest is the most awaited event. There is also a food show and trade fair.
