Pista’y Dayat Festival 2011 celebration was successful. Thousands of beach lovers flocked to the beaches of Lingayen and Provincial Capitol grounds for the celebration of Pista’y Dayat (Sea Festival) which is celebrated annually.
Pista’y Dayat Festival (Sea Festival) is a thanksgiving festival for the bountiful harvest and abundant fishing from the sea. It is a two weeks celebration of full of fun and exciting events held at the Lingayen beach.

Some of the featured events are mass offering on beautiful beaches, fluvial parade, street dancing competition and the most awaited search for the fairest lass in the province “Limgas na Pangasinan”.
While exiting events are celebrated in front of Lingayen beach, Pangasinan Training and Development Center was open for Tourism and Trade Expo 2011 “Panag-arte La! Art Exhibit” where photo gallery and art works of Pangasinan’s artists were displayed. There is also Garden Fair where hundreds of species of flowering plants and trees can sold, and landscaping ideas are also shown. And visitors can also dine-in to the Food fair for some refreshment.
All municipalities of Pangasinan have their own booth to show their (One TOWN ONE PRODUCT “OTOP Trade”). Aside from their products and tourist spots display, their creativity in booth designing, were also shown.
These events from celebration of Pista’y Dayat Festival this year will serves as a reawakening the Pangasinenses consciousness regarding to music, dances, arts and culture of the province.
